Santa Gizka

T'was the month of Winter and all through the ship,
Not a gizka was squawking, not even a bit.
The passengers were snuggled, sleeping in their assigned bunk,
Except one Mandalorian, who was awake and slightly drunk.
As he sat at the table, a mug of ale at his side,
He stared at a lone gizka, no damage done to his pride.
When from the cargo hold arose such a clatter,
Canderous instantly jumped to see what was the matter,
HK had beaten him to the source of the sound,
His blaster drawn, pointed intently near the ground.
There it sat, a giant grin as it wiggled its butt,
A small, yellow gizka, plump and round like a hutt.
A bundle of items enclosed in a large sack,
Was slung over its shoulder, and rested on its back.
It had a broad face, the gizkas smile so huge,
And the Mandalorian wondered just what was in that booze.
The gizka spoke not a word as it hopped around,
Distributing presents, leaving them neatly on the ground.
New lightsabers for Bastila, motor oil for T3,
Breath mints for Zaalbar, cranky-pills for Jolee,
A new jacket for Carth, and new robes for Revan,
Pazaak cards for Mission, a new blaster for HK-47.
Juhani got cat nip, and Canderous more rum,
Then the gizka cooed happily, shaking its bum.
It turned around towards Canderous, with a grin and a squawk,
It hopped away down the hall towards the exit of the Hawk.
Canderous and HK gave chase, but they had not a prayer,
As the mysterious gizka had already vanished in thin air.
Back to the common room, to the alcohol with a sway,
Canderous picked up the bottle and threw it away.
As he headed to his bunk, the images still in his mind raw,
He swore he heard: "Merry Christmas to all, from Santa Gizka!"
